Swedwood has recently completed its plant in Danville, USA
The investment amounts to approximately 1.8 billion Skr and around 300 people will work in the new plant located in Danville. What is interesting with this plant is its location in a high-cost country like USA. According to Swedwood, this can be seen as a long-term trend where production becomes regional and therefore can start to move back to high-cost countries. High degree of automation, short and fast deliveries, proximity to raw materials and rising transportation costs have contributed to the factory's location.
